GLENDALE: Five Phoenix-area Black Bear Diner restaurants will donate 10% of their proceeds from 4-8pm on Tuesday, June 27 to the AZ Myeloma Network as part of their Dine and Donate program.

Tim Madden has helped raise funds for cancer patient education in Arizona ever since first meeting Arizona Myeloma Network’s founder Barbara Kavanagh. “I cornered Tim as I ate at a Black Bear Diner!” said Barbara Kavanagh, “Tim immediately said yes to help cancer patients and caregivers right here in Arizona.”
Arizona Myeloma Network, one of the country’s top-rated nonprofits by Great Nonprofits, is hosting FREE Cancer Caregivers Education Seminars on September 30 and December 9, 2017.
“We believe no cancer caregiver or cancer patient should have to pay to learn about their disease. We host live seminars for hundreds of cancer patients and caregivers annually. Our social media outreach educates over 20,000 friends and followers”, said Kavanagh.
In Arizona there are over 27,000 new cancer incidences reported annually, according to the National Center Institute CDC State Cancer Profile. Mrs. Kavanagh states, Dine and Donate is a great opportunity for everyone to help raise awareness and fund FREE education seminars for ALL cancer caregivers and cancer patients.” Proceeds benefit Arizona Myeloma Network's Cancer Education and Advocacy programs delivered free to the public.
