CHANDLER: UA Local 469 Plumbers and Pipefitters united for Arizona Myeloma Network's Out Race Cancer© Charity Fundraiser, held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Bondurant Racing School in Chandler.

[June 13, 2016 – Chandler, AZ] UA Local 469 is committed to supporting Arizona Myeloma Networks’ educational programs delivered FREE of charge to cancer patients, their families and caregivers. Aaron Butler, Business Manager of UA Local 469 said, “We give back to our communities professionally and personally. It was inspiring to participate in Out Race Cancer© with family, friends and colleagues.”

Barbara Kavanagh, Founder, President and CEO of Arizona Myeloma Network, a 501c3 Glendale based Top Rated Nonprofit by Great Nonprofits, said “William (Bill) Hite, General President, United Association Plumbers and Pipefitters ( has supported Arizona Myeloma Network for over a decade. Bill, a Myeloma survivor and his wife Pat, Bill’s primary caregiver, inspired me to formally launch the Cancer Caregivers Education Program© in 2014.” 

The UA is Title Sponsor of the upcoming 12th Annual Out Drive Cancer© Charity Golf Tournament on October 15, 2016 to benefit Arizona Myeloma Network and fund 2017 programs.  “William (Bill) Hite said, “This is our 12th year as Title Sponsor for the Golf Tourney. We support Arizona Myeloma Network because we experienced how they provide direct delivery of high quality FREE cancer education in Arizona and make an immediate and positive impact on cancer patients and their family caregivers. A primary example is their annual signature Living with Myeloma© conference.”
